Who We Help

You may be surprised to learn that most of the homeless and those in need of our services are genuinely good people who have fallen on hard times. Especially in today's economy.

At Backstreet Mission, the most common reasons that guests seek our services are:

  • Unemployment
  • Illness
  • Domestic Violence
  • Marital break-up
  • Drug and alcohol use

Read our "2008 Mission Statistics" Report to see what we accomplished at Backstreet Missions in 2008.

We are here to help when unfortunate circumstances of life affect the people of our community.

Here is a chart that illustrates who we help on a national basis (report available through the AGRM) and how Backstreet Missions compares.
